Chaman – June 19, 2025: One Levies Force official was killed and another injured in a targeted gun attack near the old Tableeghi Markaz in Chaman, Balochistan. The attack has raised fresh security concerns in the volatile border region with Afghanistan.

According to official sources, unidentified armed men ambushed a Levies Falcon vehicle, opening fire at close range. The attack resulted in the death of officer Ismat, while another officer, Abbas, sustained injuries. The injured was immediately shifted to Civil Hospital Chaman, where doctors confirmed his condition is stable.

Security forces swiftly cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to locate the assailants. However, no group has claimed responsibility for the shooting.

The incident occurred near a busy religious site, causing panic among local residents. Eyewitnesses reported heavy firing and chaos in the area before security forces arrived.

Authorities have initiated a full-scale investigation, while senior officials have vowed to bring those responsible to justice.
