According to the official report, the decision was taken based on evidence of negligence and incompetence shown by the Levies personnel during the incident. The attack resulted in significant damage to government property, and weapons and communication equipment were looted.

The action follows an inquiry led by the Assistant Commissioner of Kardgap, whose report revealed that the stationed Levies officials failed to respond effectively. The Deputy Commissioner enforced the dismissal under the Balochistan Levies Force Disciplinary Rules 2015.

DG Levies Orders Immediate Disciplinary Action

Director General of Balochistan Levies Force, Abdul Ghaffar Magsi, conducted an emergency visit to the affected area to assess the security situation and operational readiness. During the visit, he lined up the remaining officers and reviewed their attendance, discipline, and performance in detail.

DG Magsi emphasized that attacks on state institutions constitute an unforgivable offense. He reiterated that strict disciplinary action would be taken against any personnel—whether internal or external collaborators—without discrimination.

“Undermining the writ of the state will not be tolerated. Officers failing in their responsibilities will face immediate consequences,” DG Levies warned.

Security remains on high alert in the region as investigations continue into the armed assault and the apparent breakdown in response by local law enforcement.
