A bomb blast targeted a security forces convoy in Balochistan, leaving two personnel injured, police sources confirmed on Wednesday. The injured were immediately shifted to CMH Sibi for medical treatment.

Following the explosion, security forces cordoned off the area, collected evidence from the scene, and launched a comprehensive search operation to trace those behind the attack. Authorities have not yet disclosed which group may be responsible.

In a separate incident the same day, unidentified armed men opened fire on vehicles loaded with minerals near the Balochistan Hotel in Mastung. The gunfire damaged the vehicles’ tyres but, fortunately, no loss of life was reported. The assailants managed to flee the scene before law enforcement arrived. Levies personnel reached the site and began an initial investigation.

The twin incidents highlight the persistent security challenges in Balochistan, where both security forces and economic convoys often face threats from insurgent elements.
