QUETTA: Acting on the directives of the Chief Secretary Balochistan , the Finance Department has taken major disciplinary action by suspending 13 district treasury officers due to insubordination and poor performance.

According to details, these officers had been repeatedly instructed to improve their performance and fulfill their official responsibilities diligently. However, they consistently failed to comply with these instructions.

Sources reveal that salary cases of newly appointed government employees had been pending for an extended period in several district treasury offices without any valid reason. These delays caused serious mental stress and hardship for the affected employees.

The Finance Department has now forwarded formal recommendations to the Chief Secretary’s office, calling for departmental inquiries and disciplinary proceedings against the suspended officers.

This step is being seen as a significant move towards ensuring accountability and transparency within government institutions.
