The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Headquarters Islamabad announced major operations in Balochistan, resulting in the arrest of three most-wanted human traffickers, including a land route agent and proclaimed offenders.
According to the FIA spokesperson, the arrested traffickers have been identified as Qurban Ali, Abdul Aleem alias Wawa, and Ozaib. The operations were carried out in Quetta and Gwadar.
The spokesperson revealed that Ozaib was involved in illegally sending Pakistani citizens to Iran via sea routes. He charged victims Rs. 15,000 per person for the illegal journey.
Meanwhile, Qurban Ali had been absconding for the last 12 years and was among FIA’s most-wanted human smugglers. Abdul Aleem alias Wawa has also been on the wanted list since 2022.
The FIA further stated that the accused lured citizens with false promises of foreign employment, collected millions of rupees, and then disappeared without fulfilling their promises. Several raids had previously been conducted to arrest them, but they managed to evade capture.
All three arrested suspects have been taken into custody for interrogation, and further investigations are underway.
The FIA reaffirmed its commitment to intensify the crackdown against human traffickers in Pakistan.
