Quetta – Governor of Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, has reaffirmed the long-standing friendship between Pakistan and Germany, emphasizing the shared vision of development, prosperity, and peace between the two nations. He highlighted the promising opportunities to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in education, healthcare, solar energy, and modern technology.
During a meeting at Governor House Quetta with Germany’s Honorary Consul General Murad Baloch, Governor Mandokhail underscored Germany’s globally recognized higher education system, which is both affordable and of the highest quality. He expressed a strong desire to establish partnerships between German educational institutions and public sector universities in Balochistan, enabling the province’s youth to access international-standard education and research opportunities.
He stressed that the German government can play a vital role in providing scholarships and guidance for students from Balochistan seeking higher education in Germany.
Governor Mandokhail also appreciated Germany’s timely assistance during natural disasters, especially the recent floods in Balochistan, where Germany extended generous support. He praised the reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts in Hanna-Urak, including the rebuilding of 800 homes, as a symbol of the enduring friendship between the two nations.
Highlighting Germany’s global stature, the Governor said that the country holds a distinguished position not only in Europe but also worldwide, being the land of renowned thinkers, scientists, and poets. He added that German products are globally recognized for their quality and standards.
The Governor concluded by noting that international cooperation with developed nations and global institutions can play a crucial role in eliminating backwardness in Balochistan and ensuring access to basic facilities for the people.
