The Balochistan Assembly has passed a joint resolution calling for five chances for candidates to appear in PCS (Provincial Civil Services) examinations, aiming to create fairer opportunities for students and job seekers across the province.

The resolution, moved by Members of the Provincial Assembly Mir Younus Aziz Zehri, Zabad Ali Reki, Asghar Ali Tareen, Syed Zafar Ali Agha, Ravi Pahuja, Ghulam Dastgir Badini, and Dr. Muhammad Nawaz Kabzai, was approved by a majority vote.

Lawmakers argued that talented students in Balochistan face limited chances compared to candidates in Punjab, Sindh, and other provinces where aspirants are granted more opportunities. They stressed that the lack of equal chances puts Balochistan’s youth at a disadvantage when competing for civil service jobs.

The resolution urged the provincial government and relevant authorities to take immediate measures to ensure parity with other provinces. According to the members, extending PCS exam attempts to five would not only help deserving students but also improve employment prospects for the province’s youth.

The assembly members emphasized that providing equal opportunities in competitive exams is crucial for uplifting Balochistan’s younger generation and ensuring they can contribute effectively to the province’s governance and development.
