Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that political parties in the province will now be required to conclude their rallies by sunset to ensure law and order and public convenience.

Speaking to the media at the Balochistan Assembly, the Chief Minister strongly condemned the recent Sariab Road blast, calling it a cowardly act targeting innocent civilians. He said that terrorists have no tribe or nation, their sole objective is to spread bloodshed and chaos. Bugti expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and assured that compensation for the victims’ families will be delivered without delay.

He emphasized that all political parties have the democratic right to protest peacefully, but warned that violence would not be tolerated under any circumstances. Clarifying a recent controversy, Bugti stated that he had not commented on the attack on Sardar Akhtar Mengal, but had only discussed general security threats with Opposition Leader Younus Zehri.

On the issue of internet suspensions, the CM explained that militants often exploit digital platforms for their malicious agendas, making temporary shutdowns unavoidable at times.

Bugti also revealed that a tribal jirga is being convened in Ziarat to resolve local disputes amicably. He added that the provincial government is closely monitoring water levels in the Indus River and confirmed that there is no flood threat to Balochistan at present.

Commenting on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent visit to China, Bugti described it as highly successful, strengthening Pakistan’s international relations. He stressed that those claiming Pakistan was isolated on the global stage have been proven wrong.

Reaffirming his government’s resolve, Bugti said the protection of people’s lives and property remains the top priority, and terrorists will be brought to justice. Provincial ministers Bakht Muhammad Kakar, Mir Asim Kurd Gello, and Sardar Kohiyar Khan Domki were also present on the occasion.
