Quetta: Internet services were suddenly suspended across Balochistan on the eve of protests organized by opposition parties.

The protests erupted following the deadly suicide bombing at Quetta’s Shahwani Stadium. Demonstrators are demanding that the perpetrators behind the attack be brought to justice.

The sudden internet blackout caused severe disruption for citizens. People were unable to contact relatives, while business and trade activities also suffered heavy losses due to the connectivity shutdown.

Earlier in August, Balochistan had already witnessed a 15-day suspension of internet services across the country over security concerns, drawing criticism from digital rights activists and business communities.

Opposition leaders condemned the latest suspension, calling it an attempt to suppress public voice, while citizens expressed frustration over repeated curbs on communication channels.
