Balochistan CM Honors Shaheed Captain Waqar Kakar by Renaming Loralai College

News Desk:

Quetta – Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has officially renamed the Balochistan Residential College (BRC) Loralai after Shaheed Captain Waqar Ahmed Kakar, honoring the young officer’s supreme sacrifice for the nation. The decision was followed by a formal notification issued by the Higher Education Department of Balochistan.

The chief minister made the announcement during his visit to Loralai, where he met the family of Captain Waqar Kakar and expressed condolences.

Captain Waqar’s father said he struggled through tough times to educate his son, whose dedication earned him a first position in academics. He wished for the college to be named after his son so that his sacrifice would always be remembered.

In an emotional statement, the martyred officer’s brother said he had devoted 25 years to preparing Waqar—not for ranks or worldly titles—but for sacrifice in defense of the country. He reaffirmed that the family will always stand by the state.

With CM Bugti’s announcement, the Higher Education Department promptly issued the official notification, formally renaming the institution to Shaheed Captain Waqar Ahmed Kakar Residential College Loralai
