Bishkek — The Embassy of Pakistan in Bishkek has issued a warning to Pakistani students studying in Kyrgyzstan, particularly those pursuing medical education, urging them to exercise extreme caution when seeking admission to universities.

Local authorities have launched investigations against several institutions, including the International Medical University (IMU) and Kyrgyz National University (KNU), over serious allegations of issuing fake degrees and forging academic records. Reports suggest that some students were awarded diplomas without attending classes or completing their academic duration.
According to the embassy, multiple complaints have been received alleging that certain education consultants and agents are misleading Pakistani students, violating contracts, and engaging in fraudulent practices related to tuition fees and payments.
The embassy has strongly advised all Pakistani students to thoroughly verify the credentials of educational institutions before seeking admission, enroll only in recognized universities, and immediately report any suspicious or illegal activities to the embassy.
For further information and guidance, students are encouraged to contact the Embassy of Pakistan in Bishkek directly.
