Gwadar, October 11, 2025: Chairman of the Gwadar Port Authority (GPA), Noor-ul-Haq Baloch, attended a vibrant science exhibition at Gwadar Grammar School as part of World Space Week 2025 celebrations. The event highlighted students’ innovative projects, showcasing Gwadar’s growing focus on science, technology, and education in Balochistan.
During his visit, Chairman Noor-ul-Haq Baloch reviewed students’ science models and praised their creativity and enthusiasm. He urged young students to take a keen interest in STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), emphasizing that “the future of national development lies in modern science and technological innovation.”
The Chairman commended the efforts of Gwadar Grammar School in promoting scientific learning and said that such events help nurture innovation, research culture, and critical thinking among the youth. He cited Dr. Yar Jan Baloch of Buleda Kech as an inspiring example for students who aspire to excel in science and education.
Earlier, he was welcomed by Principal Nasir Rahim Sohrabi, Majid Abdullah, Behram Baloch, and Abdullah Usman from the RCD Council Gwadar. Later, the Chairman distributed certificates among winners of Spelling Bee, Debate, Quiz, and Art competitions, and took photos with children who participated in the Costume Show.
The Space Week Exhibition drew large crowds, including students and teachers from GDA Public School, Bahria Model College, The Oasis School, Model High School Gwadar, and New Town Grammar School. Local leaders and education officials, including District Education Officer Abdul Wahab Majeed, Deputy DEO Nadeel Baloch, and former Municipal Chairman Abid Sohrabi, were also present.
A panel of judges, including PTA Director Shaheer Nawaz Bugti and Engineer Asadullah, evaluated the models and presentations. Winners of the Science Model and Essay Competitions will be announced on Saturday.
Principal Nasir Rahim Sohrabi thanked all participants and highlighted that the growing interest in science and technology among Gwadar’s youth reflects a promising future for Balochistan’s education sector.
