On the night of 17 October, highly targeted and precise strikes were carried out on terrorist hideouts of the Kharji Gul Bahadur group located in areas of Paktika, security officials confirmed.
According to credible intelligence reports, more than 70 Kharjis, including key commanders of the Gul Bahadur group, were eliminated in these precisions strikes, security officials said.
The Kharji Gul Bahadur group has been involved in several major terrorist attacks inside Pakistan, while infiltrating from Afghanistan to carry out terrorist operations, security officials added.
On 17 October, the same group also attempted a VBIED attack in Khadi, North Waziristan, which was foiled, according to security officials.
In that terrorist attack, three women, two children, and one soldier were martyred, the officials said.
During the precision strikes conducted on the night of 17 October against the Kharji Gul Bahadur group, several key terrorist ringleaders were killed, including Kharji Farman alias Al-Karama, security officials confirmed.
Others eliminated include Kharji Sadiqullah Dawar, Kharji Ghazi Madakhel, Kharji Muqarrab, and Kharji Qismatullah, security officials said.
Additionally, Kharji Gulab alias Deewana, Kharji Rehmani, Kharji Adil, and Kharji Fazlur Rehman were also killed, security officials added.
The killed terrorist Fazlur Rehman was a close relative of Kharji Gul Bahadur, security officials confirmed.
Furthermore, Kharji Ashiqullah alias Kausar and Kharji Younas also met their fate in the strikes, security officials said.
All these individuals were key ringleaders of the Kharji Gul Bahadur terrorist network, and their elimination marks a major operational success, according to security officials.
