NOSHKI (Balochistan): In a tragic incident, two policemen were martyred when unidentified armed attackers opened fire on a police patrol in Noshki district of Balochistan. The incident occurred on Wednesday, spreading panic and fear in the area.
According to police officials, unknown assailants ambushed the patrol team in a local neighborhood and escaped unhurt after the attack. Both police personnel died on the spot. Their bodies were later shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Noshki for medico-legal formalities.
Soon after the firing, a large number of law enforcement agencies reached the scene, cordoned off the area, and launched an investigation and search operation to trace the attackers.
Initial findings indicate that the shooting was an act of targeted killing, a pattern of violence that has been seen in parts of Balochistan in recent months.
Authorities have vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure the protection of police personnel serving in high-risk areas like Noshki.
