KHUZDAR: Unknown armed men attacked a construction company’s camp in Khuzdar district late Friday night, abducting 18 labourers and setting several vehicles on fire before escaping.

According to security sources, the assailants overpowered on-site guards and took the workers to an undisclosed location. Law enforcement agencies have launched a large-scale search operation, while authorities confirmed that efforts are underway to ensure the safe and swift recovery of the abducted labourers.

Officials said an investigation has been initiated to determine the motive behind the attack and identify those responsible.

This abduction comes just a day after a militant group kidnapped 9 people from Mastung district, raising serious concerns over the worsening security situation in Balochistan.

With the latest incident, the total number of kidnapped workers in the province has risen to 27 in the past week, sparking outrage and calls for stronger protection measures for labourers and development projects across the region.
