Quetta, October 25:

Three suspected robbers were killed during an exchange of gunfire with police on the outskirts of Quetta on Saturday morning, according to officials.

Saddar DSP Shaukat Jadoon said the incident took place in Killi Khali, an area falling under the jurisdiction of the Brewery Police Station. A police patrol team was reportedly fired upon by armed suspects, prompting law enforcement personnel to retaliate.

“All three suspects were neutralized in the exchange of fire,” DSP Jadoon stated. “Weapons and ammunition were recovered from their possession.”

The bodies of the deceased were shifted to Bolan Medical College Hospital for medico-legal formalities. Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the identities of the suspects and their possible links to recent criminal activities in Quetta and nearby regions.

Authorities said increased police patrolling continues in Quetta’s outskirts to curb incidents of robbery, street crime, and armed attacks.
