PTI Balochistan Cancels Quetta Rally Over Security and Law & Order Concerns

News Desk:

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Balochistan has officially cancelled its scheduled rally in Quetta, citing concerns over law and order, public safety, and government-imposed restrictions.

In a joint press conference, PTI Balochistan President Dawood Shah Kakard, General Secretary Jahangir Rind, Noor Khan Khilji, Zain-ul-Abideen Khilji, Jan Baloch, Nawab Domar, Ishaq Tareen, and other party representatives said that the decision was made to avoid unrest and ensure the safety of the public and PTI workers.

The PTI leaders emphasized that their party is a peaceful, democratic, and constitutional political movement that is being “pushed against the wall” by the current government. They claimed that despite completing all legal requirements and obtaining necessary permissions from the Deputy Commissioner, Home Department, and High Court, the administration deliberately created obstacles to halt the rally.

“On the day of our rally, water was deliberately released in the ground, internet services were suspended, and the city’s entry and exit routes were sealed. A curfew-like situation was created in Quetta, which clearly shows the government’s panic over PTI’s growing popularity,” the leaders said.

PTI Balochistan stated that although the rally was originally announced on September 7, 2025, it has now been postponed from November 7, 2025, in the interest of peace and public safety. The party plans to announce a new date soon.

The leaders reaffirmed that holding rallies and public gatherings is a constitutional and democratic right guaranteed by the Constitution of Pakistan, and PTI will continue to pursue its political activities through peaceful and lawful means.
