Quetta: Deputy Commissioner Meherullah Badini chaired an important meeting of the District Administration Quetta, focusing on key civic issues including price control, the ban on plastic bags, action against illegal mini petrol pumps, and the orderly repatriation of Afghan refugees.
Senior officials, including Additional Deputy Commissioners (Revenue & General), Assistant Commissioners, Tehsildars, and Magistrates, attended the meeting.
DC Badini directed all administrative units to ensure price stability across markets, emphasizing that profiteering and hoarding will not be tolerated. He called for strict and sustained price monitoring to protect consumers from inflation-driven exploitation.
Highlighting environmental concerns, he ordered intensified operations against the use of banned plastic bags, urging businesses and citizens to shift toward eco-friendly alternatives for a cleaner Quetta.
On public safety, the Deputy Commissioner instructed officials to crack down on illegal mini petrol pumps, warning that unauthorized fuel sales pose serious fire and explosion risks.
Regarding the repatriation of Afghan refugees, DC Badini stressed that all actions must be carried out lawfully, respectfully, and in an organized manner.
He reaffirmed that the District Administration Quetta is fully committed to a coordinated public welfare strategy, aiming to improve urban management and deliver tangible relief to citizens.
