November 14, 2025 – Othal police have successfully intercepted a major drug smuggling attempt, recovering a total of 25.2 kilograms of hashish cleverly concealed on the bodies of one man and four women.

According to officials, police received a tip-off last night about a group planning to smuggle narcotics. Acting on the intelligence, a snap check was conducted near the Zero Point check post in Othal. During the operation, a passenger van traveling from Khuzdar was stopped for inspection.

Upon questioning, a man identified himself and introduced the four accompanying women as his relatives. All passengers were asked to step out for verification.

During a frisking of the man, 4.8 kg of hashish wrapped in solution tape around his waist was recovered. The four women were then taken to a separate room at the check post to maintain privacy. A thorough search by female constables revealed additional hashish concealed on their bodies.

In total, 25.2 kg of hashish was seized, with an estimated street value of around PKR 3 million.

Othal police have registered a case under Narcotics Act Sections 9(1)3C and 9(1)3D, Case No. 116/2025, and further investigations are underway. Officials indicate that the ongoing probe may lead to more significant revelations.
