Repair Work on Transmission Line Near Mach Balochistan Completed

Quetta — A powerful explosion caused by gas leakage injured a woman and three children in the Hazara Town area of the provincial capital on Wednesday.

The incident occurred at a house located on Karani Road, where accumulated gas reportedly ignited, resulting in severe burns to the residents. Rescue teams shifted all four injured individuals to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.

According to police, the blast took place in Mohalla Imam Baqar of Hazara Town. The injured were identified as 40-year-old Bibi Azra, wife of Syed Nasir, along with 15-year-old Sehr, 12-year-old Haseena, and 9-year-old Abbas — all residents of Hazara Town, Quetta.

Authorities have launched an inquiry to determine how the gas accumulated inside the home and whether negligence or faulty fittings were involved.
