Nokundi — The Reko Diq Mining Company (RDMC) Technical Institute, operated by The Hunar Foundation (THF), marked a major milestone as it celebrated the graduation of 416 young trainees in District Chagai. The six-month vocational training program produced 278 male and 138 female graduates, reflecting growing local participation in technical education.
The ceremony drew attendance from the Community Development Committee Nokkundi, students, their families, and senior officials from THF and RDMC. Speakers highlighted the importance of technical skills, workforce readiness, and sustainable development for the region’s future.
THF Project Director Mr. Nadeem Manzoor congratulated the graduates and emphasized the long-term value of the THF–RDMC partnership in expanding opportunities for local youth. RDMC Community Investment team lead, Mr. Essa Tahir, praised the achievements of the trainees, stating, “Skill is very important, and we are proud looking at our few graduates working in one of the most important mining project of Pakistan.”
THF CEO Mr. Tahir Javed reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to cultural inclusion and empowerment, while RDMC Head of HR, Mr. Hanno Staden, engaged the audience with encouraging remarks delivered in Balochi.
Graduates shared personal stories showcasing how vocational training is opening doors to stable employment and better livelihoods. The event concluded with certificate distribution followed by a traditional Balochi dance, symbolizing community pride and collective achievement.
The graduation reinforces ongoing efforts to strengthen technical capacity and economic opportunities for youth in Balochistan’s mining region.
