Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti chaired a high-level meeting of the Counter Terrorism Provincial Harden the State Committee on Wednesday, where he reviewed ongoing security operations and the province’s overall law-and-order landscape.

The session, held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, was attended by Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Home Hamza Shafqaat, and senior officials from key security institutions.

During the briefing, the committee was informed that coordinated operations against “Fitna al-Khwarij” and “Fitna al-Hindustan” are progressing effectively. Security officials reported that 100 militants have been neutralized in northern Balochistan, while over 200 operations have been conducted in district Kachhi. Multiple districts continue to witness successful actions against criminal networks.

The meeting was also told that a wide-ranging crackdown on illegal trade and smuggling has led to the closure of 3,561 illegal petrol pumps across the province. Meanwhile, Customs authorities have conducted 2,575 operations in the past three months, seizing 416 non-custom-paid vehicles.

Officials further briefed the chief minister that the registration of religious seminaries and compliance with newly framed regulatory guidelines is moving forward steadily.

Expressing satisfaction over the progress, Chief Minister Bugti reiterated that the writ of the state will be maintained at all costs. He instructed law-enforcement agencies to intensify ongoing operations without showing any leniency.

Bugti emphasized that implementing the decisions of national and provincial action committees with consistency and responsibility is the government’s top priority. He reaffirmed that the province will pursue a zero-tolerance policy against crime, lawlessness, and militant activity.

He added that safeguarding the lives and property of every citizen is the state’s fundamental duty, and the government will continue to deploy all available resources to guarantee lasting peace and support development efforts across Balochistan.
