Chagai – Reko Diq Mining Company (RDMC) has taken a significant step towards youth empowerment by supporting the participation of 20 young leaders from District Chagai in the prestigious Young Leaders Conference (YLC).

The YLC, organized by the School of Leadership (SoL), brings together talented youth from across Pakistan to enhance their leadership skills, encourage dialogue, and foster personal growth. The selected participants, comprising 10 young men and 10 young women, were chosen through a rigorous merit-based process, showcasing their potential as future leaders.

Before attending the conference in Karachi, the participants visited the Reko Diq Project site, where they met with RDMC’s General Manager, Ryan Mitchell, and senior management team. Mitchell emphasized the YLC as a transformative opportunity for the youth to discover their potential and become ambassadors of their communities.

The participants gained valuable insights into the project’s technical and scientific aspects, touring the Geology Core Shed and Laboratory, and learning about the Tethyan Belt and regional geology.

This initiative reflects RDMC’s commitment to community engagement and youth empowerment, aligning with the recommendations of the Community Development Committees (CDCs). The program aims to inspire and equip the next generation of leaders in Chagai and beyond.
