Quetta/Peshawar:In view of severe snowfall across various areas of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Pakistan Army has launched timely and effective rescue and relief operations. Despite extremely harsh weather conditions, Pakistan Army personnel remain actively engaged in providing relief to affected populations.
Control centers have been established in Hosri, Ziarat, Bolan, Zhob, Qila Saifullah, Khojak Top, Lak Pass, Dukki, Kolpur, and Muslim Bagh to coordinate rescue efforts during the ongoing snow emergency. Pakistan Army troops and rescue teams are evacuating stranded local residents and tourists from snowbound areas.
Rescued individuals are being provided with food, medical assistance, and other essential supplies. The Pakistan Army reaffirmed its readiness to provide continuous relief to the public during severe weather emergencies.
Meanwhile, in District Kurram, heavy rainfall and unprecedented snowfall prompted large-scale relief and rescue operations by security forces. An immediate emergency response was initiated to assist the local population and restore ground connectivity.
Using heavy machinery and manpower effectively, all affected roads were fully cleared and reopened. The restoration of key land routes ensured the resumption of essential supply chains, enabling access to food markets and healthcare facilities for local residents.
Pakistan Army personnel cleared snow from highways and safely relocated stranded passengers and vehicles to secure locations. As a result of these professional and coordinated efforts, critical road networks were restored, significantly easing public hardship.
Despite extreme weather and challenging terrain, Pakistan Army officers and soldiers are personally supervising relief operations on the ground. In Tirah Valley, troops continue rescue activities despite intense snowfall, prioritizing civilian safety.
Local residents have widely appreciated the timely response and dedicated efforts of the security forces. The Pakistan Army remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding lives and property and providing immediate assistance during natural disasters and emer gencies.
