Kech: Six people belonging to the same household were killed and three others were injured after armed attackers struck a residential home in the Minaz area of Buleda tehsil in Kech district during the night, officials said.

Police stated that the assailants carried out a coordinated assault, using automatic weapons and explosive fire, which caused extensive damage to the house and resulted in multiple casualties. Several of the victims were children.

Rescue teams arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and transported the injured to a nearby medical facility. Hospital officials said some of the wounded remain in serious condition.

Following the attack, law enforcement agencies sealed off the locality and began search operations in surrounding areas. Authorities said an inquiry is in progress to identify those involved and determine the motive behind the assault.

Officials added that law and order challenges persist in parts of the region. In a separate incident reported last month, a man from Faisalabad was shot dead by unknown individuals in the Pishukan area of Gwadar district.

Authorities said additional security measures are being considered to prevent further incidents.
