News Desk:
A wave of terrorist attacks originating from Afghanistan has intensified security concerns in Pakistan, with officials terming the incidents a direct assault on the country’s sovereignty and internal stability.
Recent attacks include a deadly assault on a Frontier Constabulary convoy in Bannu, where personnel were reportedly burnt alive, the martyrdom of DSP Asad Mahmood in Shakardara area of Kohat, and a suicide bombing in Bhakkar. Security sources say these coordinated incidents reflect a dangerous escalation in terrorism against Pakistan.
Ramadan Attacks Condemned as Anti-Islamic
Authorities and religious scholars have strongly condemned the suicide attacks carried out during the holy month of Ramadan, stating that such acts have no connection with Islam or Pashtun cultural values. They emphasize that the militants’ extremist ideology shows complete disregard for innocent human life.
Despite repeated demands, Pakistan says the Afghan Taliban authorities have failed to prevent militant groups, referred to as Fitna al-Khawarij, from using Afghanistan soil to launch attacks. Officials warn that continued inaction amounts to hostility and a challenge to Pakistan’s territorial integrity.
National Unity Urged Against Terrorism
Security analysts stress that confronting terrorism requires national unity beyond political divisions. They argue that safeguarding national security, public safety, and state dignity must take precedence over partisan interests, particularly as Pakistan faces threats allegedly backed by external sponsors.
Pakistan’s security forces and law-enforcement agencies have reaffirmed their determination to neutralize all elements threatening the country. Officials paid tribute to the sacrifices of personnel defending Pakistan’s internal and external frontiers, highlighting strong public support behind ongoing counter-terrorism efforts.
Authorities remain confident that militant groups involved in these attacks will be decisively defeated through national cohesion, collective resolve, and unwavering public backing, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to peace and stability.
