News Desk: Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Mehrullah Badini, formally inaugurated the five-day anti-polio campaign starting April 13 by administering polio drops to children.
A high-level meeting chaired by the deputy commissioner was also held to review security and administrative arrangements for the campaign. Officials briefed participants on preparations, highlighting that more than 400,000 children across the district will be vaccinated.
According to the briefing, 1,620 teams will participate in the drive, supported by 445 supervisors to ensure effective implementation. Strict security measures have also been put in place, with 1,620 security personnel deployed to safeguard the teams.
The deputy commissioner urged parents, religious scholars, and community elders to cooperate and ensure that every child receives polio drops to help eradicate the disease completely.
