Lawyers having government jobs cannot appear before courts: BHC

The Balochistan High Court (BHC) has ordered that lawyers having government jobs cannot appear before courts in the province. A division bench of the BHC passed this order on a petition filed by Andleeb Qaisrani Advocate.
The bench comprises Chief Justice BHC, Mr. Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, and Mr. Justice Kamran Khan Malakhail. “The advocates who are verified/confirmed as to be in jobs, their licenses shall stand suspended’, the bench said.
The Vice-Chairman Balochistan Bar Council and Chairman Executive Committee after confirming the list should provide it to the Registrar of this court within a week, the bench instructed.
BHC directs Registrar to issue instructions in this regard
The court also directed the Registrar of BHC to issue instructions to all the Presiding Officers in the province to restrain/ stop them from appearing in their respective courts.
Muhammad Ayub Tareen, the Chairman Executive Committee Balochistan Bar Council informed the court that already steps taken to restrain such people from posing themselves as lawyers.
Jamil Ramazan advocate, Jamila Panezai, Ali Jan Tarakai, and Asif Khilji advocated represented Andleeb Qaisrani in the case. Advocate General Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir Kasi appeared on behalf of the government of Balochistan.
