Opposition turns police station into political gathering: CM Balochistan

Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan said opposition lawmakers have turned the police station into a political gathering. In a video message in response to the opposition’s protest, Jam Kamal said the opposition members were holding press conferences and dinners inside the police station.

“This is thana-cum political sit-in”, he said in the message. Jam Kamal reiterated that the government has not arrested any opposition members rather they (opposition) are not coming out of the police station. He said the government has withdrawn FIR against all opposition members.

Opposition has to heed Maulana Sherani’s advice

He noted that Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani, a seasoned politician had given good suggestions about the opposition protest. “Opposition has to heed Maulana Sherani’s advice and end the protest”, he said.

Chief Minister’s comments have come few hours after the opposition members and police clashed outside the Bijli road police station. Police had stopped media from covering the opposition’s press conference.
