3 accused arrested in rape and murder of minor: DC Mastung

Levies force has arrested 3 accused involved in the rape and murder of a 10-year old minor boy in Balochistan’s district Mastung. Addressing a press conference, Deputy Commissioner Mastung, Major (R) Ilyas Kibzai said levies arrested all three culprits involved in the rape and murder of the minor boy. Other senior administration officials were also present on the occasion.

“The culprits had subjected the minor to sexual abuse and then murdered him”, the DC mentioned. The culprits had sexually abused and then brutally murdered on July 14, 2021, he added.

Culprits used blunt weapons to kill the minor

Mr. Kibzai stated that the culprits had used blunt weapons to murder the minor boy. The administration had lodged an FIR against the culprits and established an investigation team headed by Assistant Commissioner Mastung. The accused shifted to the levies station for interrogation. An investigation team comprising senior officers was formed to investigate the culprits.

In Balochistan, violence against women and children has increased during the current year. Aurat Foundation, a non-governmental organization has expressed serious concern over increasing violence against women and children. “Women and children across Balochistan are not safe”, Allauddin Khilji, the Balochistan head of the foundation stated.

Chief Justice Balochistan High Court (BHC), Mr. Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail had also taken a notice of rampant incidents of child abuse across the province. The top judge of the province had also directed the concerned commissioners to file a report about child abuse in Balochistan.
