Ibrar Ahmed :

Angry protesters blocked the main Quetta-Ziarat road against the killing of a young man, Qabizullah Dotani. Levies force had killed Dotani on allegation of bike snatching, a charge vehemently denied by the heirs of the young man.

The protesters blocked the main road and demanded of the government to take action against what they call killers force. The protesters chanted full-throated slogans against the administration and called for justice. They called the murder an extra-judicial killing and demanded a judicial probe into the incident.

Protesters demanded an action against the levies personnel involved in the killing of a young man

The protest caused the suspension of traffic between Ziarat and Quetta. Long queues of vehicles could be seen on both sides of the road. Common people suffered as a result of the blockade of roads. Balochistan Minister, Noor Muhammad Dumar held negotiations with the protesters and assured them that justice would be done.

The Minister informed the protesters that the deputy commissioner Loralai has already suspended the levies personnel and investigation has been launched in this regard. The protesters then subsequently dispersed.
