NP workers clash with AC Gwadar

Workers of the National Party (NP) clashed with Assistant Commissioner Gwadar during a protest against the scarcity of water on Tuesday. Deputy Commissioner Gwadar, Kabir Zarkoon accused the NP workers of attacking AC Gwadar and Pasni. “They slapped the AC”, he said. This is not a democratic and political approach.

However, NP leaders have lashed out at the senior administration officers for what they claim torturing political workers. “Administration’s act is extremely condemnable”, Dr. Malik Baloch, the Chief of NP said in a statement.

NP had given a call of shutter down strike 

The nationalist party had given a call of shutter down strike and protest against the scarcity of water in the port city. The NP workers also protesting against power outages and illegal trawling in the sea.

However, Jan Muhammad Buledi, the Central Secretary General of NP asserted that the administration subjected party workers to torture during the protest.

The NP workers also staged a sit-in and chanted full-throated slogans against the district Gwadar administration. They demanded of the government to provide drinking water to the people of Gwadar and bring an end to power outages.

The NP also called for an end to illegal trawling in the sea and termed it an attempt to deprive indigenous people of their economic rights.
