QUETTA: The Balochistan government has imposed ban on congregational Juma prayers in the province in the wake of coronavirus. According to a notification issued by the Balochistan home and tribal affairs department, only Imam of the Masjid (prayer leader) and 3 to 5 people are allowed to offer Friday prayer in the Masjid.

All deputy commissioners and assistant commissioners and police have been directed to make sure the implementation of the government’s order. The notification however clarifies that Friday prayers would be offered as per time and schedule. However, it has limited the number of people.

The masses have been asked to offer their Friday prayers at their homes. This restriction would remain imposed till April 4, the notification concluded.
