Students protest against PMC in Quetta

Hundreds of students staged a protest demonstration against the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) in Quetta on Monday evening. All male and female students were demanding the cancellation of recent tests conducted by the PMC. The Commission conducted tests for admission in medical colleges of the country recently.
“We want immediate cancellation of tests”, Zubair Baloch, one of the protesters told Quetta Voice. Mr. Baloch claimed that under a pre-planned conspiracy, students from Balochistan were deprived of medical admissions.
The activists of the Baloch Students Organization (BSO) and others also joined the protest and supported the demand of protesters. “Our students want justice”, Zubair Baloch, another protester said.
PMC test was out of course: Students claimÂ
The students asserted that the PMC test was out of the course and that students of Balochistan were not prepared to participate in the test. The protesters took out a protest rally from Sariab road and marched through various roads of the city. They gathered at the main Hockey Chowk to vent their anger.
The students demanded of the Balochistan government to follow Sindh in terms of challenging the Sindh government. The students also warned of intensifying protests against the provincial government. People suffered a lot as a result of the students’ protest.
The protest has come few days after several students were injured during a demonstration in Quetta.
