QUETTA: The Balochistan government on Saturday announced special remission of four months for prisoners languishing in various prisons of the province. The special remission has been announced amid fears of increasing cases of coronavirus cases in Balochistan.

Prisoners involved in anti State, terrorism, blasts, espionage and other activities would not be granted special remission, said in a notification issued by home and tribal affairs department Balochistan.

However, four months’ remission would be granted to other prisoners languishing in various prisons of  Balochistan.  Balochistan government has earlier granted special remission to 78 prisoners in the province. And 20 prisoners have released from district jail Quetta.
