DC Loralai withheld termination order of teachers after association threat

Deputy Commissioner Loralai has withheld the termination order of 70 teachers after mounting pressure by the government teachers association. Dr. Attique ur Rehman Shahwani, the DC Loralai had sacked 70 chronic absentee teachers on September 28th.

According to a letter obtained by Quetta Voice, the undersigned is pleased to with-held and to forward the earlier letter to the district education officer Loralai. There was no immediate response from the Deputy Commissioner about the withdrawal of the order. The letter could not be verified by the DC office.

 

 

Sources in the DC office revealed that the order was withdrawn in the aftermath of pressure from the government teachers association Balochistan. “This is the success of unity of teachers”, Habib ur Rehman Mardanzai, the central office-bearer of the association was quoted by teachers.

The withdrawal order of teachers was widely shared on social media.
