“I am still the BAP President”, Jam Kamal strikes back

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan on Tuesday withdrawn the decision of resignation as the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) president. “I am still the President of the BAP”, the CM told a hurriedly called news conference at the Chief Minister Secretariat.
BAP lawmakers and other coalition partners were also present on the occasion.
CM’s announcement has come after the BAP founder Senate Saeed Hashmi nominated Zahoor Buledi as the acting president of the ruling party. A press release signed by Senator Manzoor Kakar was issued to the press.
“That was my personal decision and colleagues ask me to take it back”, Jam Kamal Khan responding to a question regarding his tweet in which has had announced his resignation as the BAP chief. The party colleagues objected to my earlier decision and asked me to keep continue as the BAP chief, he mentioned.

Jam Kamal expressed the hope that the angry members will enjoy the treasury benches and abandon his opposition. “Very soon, you will see them here”, the CM asserted.
A 14-member from the ruling coalition submitted a no-confidence motion against the incumbent CM on October 11 in Balochistan Assembly. “The CM should resign and avoid controversies”, Zahoor Buledi, the BAP angry member told a news conference.
When asked about the vote of confidence, the CM insisted that he still enjoys the support of the majority of the lawmakers in the house of 65 members. “This would be decided on the eve of vote counting”, Jam Kamal said when asked about the opposition and angry members’ number.
Differences surfaced within the ruling party when the joint opposition submitted a no-confidence motion against the CM Balochistan on September 16.
