Young doctor killed in Quetta

QUETTA: A young doctor was killed in Quetta’s Eastern Bypass on Friday evening. Police sources said the accused opened fire at the clinic of Dr. Amir Muhammad Marri and killed him on the spot. The accused fled away from the spot after the attack.

Police reached the spot and launched an investigation into the incident. The news of the killing of the young doctor was also widely shared on social media. People demanded an immediate arrest of the accused involved in the killing. No arrest made in connection with the killing of the young doctor so far, police sources said.

The motive behind the killing of the young doctor could not be immediately ascertained.

YDA condemns the killing

Young Doctors Association (YDA) Balochistan has strongly condemned the killing of Dr. Amir Muhammad Marri. In a statement issued here on Saturday, YDA office-bearers lamented that the government has failed to protect the lives of health professionals. The YDA demanded of the Balochistan government to apprehend the culprits behind the attack.
