Landslide claims a coal miner’s life in Dukki Balochistan

Landsliding has claimed the life of a coal miner in Balochistan’s Dukki district on Friday. Levies sources said the coal miner was extracting coal from inside the mine when hit by a landslide. The miner died at the spot, Levies said.

The hapless coal miner was identified as Siddiqullah, a resident of Afghanistan. The dead body of the coal miner was shifted to district headquarters hospital Dukki. The dead body of the miner was dispatched to Afghanistan after the completion of necessary official procedures.

Poor working conditions claiming precious human lives

Poor conditions without any proper safety continue to claim precious human lives in Dukki and other parts of Balochistan. Especially, such incidents are the order of the day in Dukki, which has rich coal reservoirs. Most of the coal miners belong to volatile Southern Afghanistan, Swat, and Shangla districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
