Quetta female police officer retired for forcing a prisoner to dance naked

A Quetta female police officer was compulsorily retired for forcing a female prisoner to dance naked. The Deputy Inspector General of Police Quetta, Azhar Akram awarded the punishment to the female police inspector and ordered her compulsory retirement.
According to a notification received by this daily, the accused female inspector had forced a female prisoner at Jinnah Town Police Station to un-do her dress and dance on a Sindhi song. This was filmed by a woman lady police official between 15-9-2020 to 28-9-2020, the notification mentioned. The accused female inspector was assigned the task to interrogate a female prisoner arrested in connection with the murder of a child.
Police SP, Ms. Pari Gul Tareen conducted the inquiry
The DIG had ordered an inquiry committee headed by Ms. Pari Gul Tareen, the Superintendent of Police to probe into the incident. Investigation proved that the female inspector had violated rules and passed verbal orders in this regard.
The investigation was conducted so unprofessionally and unethically and there is a visible show of misconduct on the part of the accused police inspector, it mentioned. The inquiry officer found her guilty and recommended severe punishment under the policy rules 1975.
The female police inspector was given the opportunity to prove her innocence
On November 11, 2021, the accused female inspector was called to the office of DIG Police Quetta. The accused was given an ample opportunity and heard but she failed to prove her innocent. Subsequently, the DIG Police Muhammad Azhar Akram awarded her punishment and she was compulsorily retired from the service. However, five-woman police officials were already terminated from their service in September this year.
Scores of police officers have been removed from their service by the present inspector general of Police Muhammad Tahir Rai for violating the law and subjecting people to illegal torture and corruption.
