Shocking revelation: Meat of dead animals on sale in Quetta

Quetta administration has exposed a network involved in the sale of meat of dead animals on Friday. Police arrested two members of the grand involved in the filthy business red-handed.
“After hectic efforts, we were able to expose this gang”, Zohaib ul Hassan Siddiqui, the Assistant Commissioner told Quetta Voice. The administration also recovered the dead animals and their meat in the jurisdiction of the industrial police station.
Lean cows and oxen would die and the members of the grand would slaughter them to sell their meat in the market, Mr. Siddiqui revealed. “This filthy business was going on for last few years”, he informed.
Police arrested two members of the gang
Police personnel also participated in the raid conducted for the arrest of the culprits and recovery of the meat of dead animals. Police shifted the accused to the industrial police station and a case was registered against them.
The members of the gang revealed that they used to supply mead of the dead animals to some shopkeepers. “The shopkeepers would further supply this meat to hotel owners”, Assistant Commissioner Quetta City mentioned.
Accused to be punished as per the law
The accused would be punished under various existing laws in this regard. The Quetta administration and police have also formed an inquiry team to interrogate the accused and bring the remaining members of the gang to book.
Various raids were also conducted in different parts of Quetta city on Friday. The members of the gang would cut the meat in pieces and then put it in bags to supply them to shopkeepers. “Most of the meat was being used in BAR B Q”, Mr. Siddiqui stated.
This raid has come months after the revelation of dead chicken on sale in Quetta. Although, the food authority and other concerned quarters failed to apprehend that gang.
