Islamabad to assist Balochistan Govt about addressing issues of Gwadar

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has assured that Islamabad would assist the Balochistan government in addressing the issues of the people of Gwadar. Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo, and Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani called on the Prime Minister on Wednesday.
The Premier stated that the federal government would assist the provincial government in terms of the provision of clean drinking water to the people of Gwadar. Development projects in Gwadar and Southern Balochistan would also be completed to improve the living standard of the people.
The CM’s meeting has come with the Premier after continued protest of people of Gwadar against illegal trawling, provision of clean drinking water, and other issues.
Imran Khan stated that the federal government would also announce the northern Balochistan package on the patron of southern Balochistan to address the grievances of the people. CM Bizenjo demanded of the PM to address the issue of gas and electricity load shedding in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan in the winter season.
The Premier directed the concerned departments to take effective steps to address the issue of gas and electricity issues. Imran Khan said that work would be started on the dualization of the Chaman-Karachi route to discover long distances in Balochistan.
