PMC registers all 600 medical students of Balochistan

PMC recognizes Mekran, Loralai, Jhalawan medical colleges

Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has officially recognized all three medical colleges of Balochistan. The medical colleges include Mekran, Loralai, and Jhalawan.

The PMC has issued a notification about the registration of medical colleges on Monday evening. This was one of the longstanding demands of the students of Balochistan. The PMC had formed a committee, which conducted inspections of the three colleges.

“This is an important stride for promotion of medical education in Balochistan”, Noor ul Haq Baloch, Secretary Health said. Mr. Baloch and officials of the health department had made hectic efforts to ensure the registration of three medical colleges. Currently, 600 medical students have been studying in these three medical colleges of Balochistan. Academic activities in medical colleges commenced in 2017.
