QUETTA: Young Doctors Association (YDA) Balochistan has announced to check patients on a footpath near the Chief Minister Balochistan Secretariat. “We have decided to end boycott of OPDs”, Dr. Hafeez Mandokhail, the Chairman YDA told a hurriedly called news conference at civil hospital on Thursday.

He however clarified that the doctors will not be checking patients in OPDs located inside government-run hospitals rather near the CM Balochistan Secretariat. “We are concerned about the health issues of patients”, Mr. Mandokhail claimed.

Young doctors have been boycotting OPDs for last more than two months to mount pressure on the government for acceptance of their demands. Repeated rounds of negotiations have been held between the government and protesting doctors. Although, no progress has been made in this regard.
