Reko Diq Briefing: “I personally called Dr. Malik twice but he did not come”

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo on Wednesday said nothing was secret about the Reko Diq Project. “I personally called Dr. Malik Baloch twice but he did not come to participate in the in-camera session of Balochistan Assembly”, the Chief Minister told journalists.
The CM stated that former Chief Minister, Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani had not come to the in-camera briefing. However, he said he personally visited his residence and apprised him about the developments about the multi-billion dollar project.
Mr. Bizenjo however mentioned that lawmakers from Balochistan National Party (Mengal), Jamiat ul Ulema e Islam (F), Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) participated in the in-camera session of the Balochistan Assembly about the Reko Diq project. “Our effort is to take all on board”, he added.
He said that rescue operation was underway in all rains and snowfall affected districts of Balochistan. Mr. Bizenjo visited the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) office and reviewed the arrangements for relief and rescue operations in the province. “Machinery moved in all affected districts of Balochistan”, Mr. Bizenjo told reporters after his visit to the PDMA office.
He stated that rescue operation was underway in district Kech, Gwadar, Ziarat and other parts of Balochistan.
