Senator Danesh Kumar of the ruling Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) has lashed out at the Chief of the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC). Speaking on the issue of medical students during the senate session, Senator Danesh said the PMC chief was least bothered about the issue of medical students of Balochistan.
“This is not acceptable, our students have been protesting for months”, the Senator said. Chairman Senate, Mir Sadiq Sanjrani directed senators from Balochistan to meet the PMC Chief and solve the issue of medical students of the province.

Mr. Sanjrani stated that it was the issue of the future of medical students of Balochistan and the PMC has to find a solution. “Senators should interact with PMC chief and sort out the issue”, the Chairman senate said.
This debate in the upper house has come after the hunger strike till the death of five medical students entered the fourth day on Monday. The PMC has asked 600 students of medical colleges of Balochistan to re-appear in a test. The students have refused to do so and launched a protest movement against the Commission.
Students have staged protest demonstrations and taken out rallies to mount pressure on the government for the acceptance of their demands. Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo had assured the students that the provincial government would take up this issue with the federal government and PMC.
