DUKKI: Secretary Health Balochistan, Saleh Muhammad Nasar has sacked 5 chronic absentee doctors in the Dukki district on Sunday. The Secretary paid a surprise visit to the district headquarters hospital Dukki. Five doctors were found absent.

“No compromise over health sector”, Mr. Nasar told local journalists. He said action would be taken against the chronic absentee doctors in all parts of the province. The Secretary directed the concerned authorities to make sure provision of medicines to the district headquarters and other basic health units.

“Six months strike has severely affected hospitals in Balochistan”, Mr. Nasar. He was referring to the six-month-old strike of the Young Doctors Association (YDA) and Para Medical Staff Association.

“Politics within the department has also ruined the health sector”, he mentioned. He however warned that none would be spared and all-out efforts would be made to make sure provision of better health facilities to the masses.
