QUETTA: The death toll in rains-related incidents across Balochistan reached 25 on Tuesday night. This was revealed by the Director-General of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Naseer Ahmad Nasar while talking to Daily Quetta Voice.
Mr. Nasar mentioned that over three dozen people have also been injured in rains-related incidents in the province. Torrential rains and flooding have also damaged more than 300 mud-walled houses on the outskirts of Quetta. “Three women and four children are also among the dead”, the DG informed.
The government has declared an emergency situation in Quetta to tackle the situation. “The next 48 hours are crucial “, said DG PDMA Naseer Ahmad Nasar. Central Balochistan, Northern Balochistan, and eastern Balochistan areas are in a more dangerous situation.
