4 people drowned in flood in Pirani Lasbela

Four people drowned in flood in the Pirani area of district Lasbela. Police sources said four people drowned in the Pirani area, which has completely flooded. So far, no rescue team has arrived at the spot of the incident.

Residents of the area are making hectic efforts to rescue the drowned people, a police official said. He requested anonymity since he was not authorized to speak to the media. “We are trying to contact the PDMA”, he said.

Floods have wreaked havoc in Lasbela and Jhal Magsi districts. Thousands have been made homeless. Pak Army and Frontier Corps (FC) have evacuated over 10,000 stranded people to safer places, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement issued to the press on Thursday morning.

Rescue workers later retrieved the dead bodies of all four people from flooding water in the Pirani area of district Lasbela.
