BHC reinstates Shabir Baiyan as chairman Balochistan PRCS

QUETTA: Balochistan High Court (BHC) on Friday reinstated Shabir Baiyan as the Chairman Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS). The court canceled the stay order in favor of the outgoing chairman of PRCS, Abdul Bari Bareech.

Mr. Bareech had challenged the appointment of Shabir Baiyan as the Chairman of PRCS in court. The former governor of Balochistan, Syed Zahoor Agha had appointed Abdul Bari Bareech, a leader of the former ruling party Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) as the Chairman of PRCS.

However, the acting governor Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali appointed Shabir Baiyan as the Chairman of the PRCS. Mr. Baiyan’s appointment was challenged by Abdul Bari Bareech.
